sorry i haven't had much time to update this whole weekend, but my andy was here and it was sooooo great to see him!! like a little piece of home up here in the Big Apple..then it just made me sad for him to leave..in fact, i had to pinch myself several times this weekend to make sure he was really here, that this wasn't just something i had dreamt up...in fact, as i'm writing this, i'm wondering, when will i wake up...but then i realize...no it was real.

so this weekend was way fun, even though i got us incredibly lost all over new york, he was sooo very patient with me. i love that about him, when i'm anxious or upset, he's calm, and vice versa...we're good with each other that way...even if we were walking next to the Projects in Brooklyn, and I was frustrated because I had no idea where we were going and I said, "ya know, i don't really feel comfortable walking to the Aquarium", he said, no problem and turned me around and we walked right back to the subway station...awww, boyfriend!

anyway, we had many different adventures. we went to Central Park, the zoo in Cent. Park, the MET, ate pizza, ate chinese, ate italian, ate seafood,...and more pizza, haha. we went to Coney Island and the NYC Aquarium, went to see a movie, walked all around New York, SoHo, Chinatown, etc. it was so much fun, I'm glad we had a chance to get lost, becasue it taught me to chill out and also helped me with my sense of direction. We didnt' get a chance to get to the Empire State building, but that's ok. the lines were ridiculous. i just realized that we didn't take any pictures either, but there wasn't much to take pictures of. I mean, yeah, us, but we have plenty of pictures. and I haven't really been camera-happy here, even though there's much to see..i guess i think i'll look like too much of a tourist...ah well. it's ok, we have plenty of pictures of us!

so, i sent andy off today, very sad :(...but it won't be too long before i see him again, and my mom, rose and thad are coming to see me in 2 weeks!! yesssssssss! (think napoleon dynamite) and i should know my way around a little more.

so we had that dumb walking tour today, it was long and boring, and i didn't know waht he was talking about, but i took pictures then (yeah, call me dumb). we walked through this islamic festival...the smell of food and incense took me back to saudi days *sigh*. then we basically had to walk back home...gosh, i've walked way too much this weekend, but that's ok...good for teh body, the heart, the legs..blah blah. then we had a floor meeting again..they are just so boring and about the same crap. nobody cleans up after themselves, same people come in drunk and loud all the time, staying out until all hours of the night...and morning. so, the people here are not really thinking clearly..that's fine. whatever.

so apparently a lot of the floor think my boyfriend is cute/adorable/hot...well, the last one was said by stephen gulley and blitch...so i dont' know what that means, but everyone seemed to like my boyyyy, so that's always good. tonight we had dinner at hardrock cafe...yay...i need to stop spending so much money on food..bleh..plus i had to refill my metro card today...another $70 ..wheeeeeeee...

i have a really bad headache right now...but i took some medicine and it's going away..i think i'm just tired b/c i'm used to sleeping until noon on weekends...that's ok though, i'm going to bed early tonight. you know, i had a lot more funny things to say in my blog...and they just aren't coming out...hmm, perhaps my comedic mood will hit later on this week..oh right, i have a paper due on weds..neat.
